Renting a Home

Our homes are offered to applicants and prospective new tenants through Choice Based Lettings schemes (CBL). The respective Councils advertise the scheme(s) or vacant properties in their area to applicants on their CBL website. Typically each Council area has its own CBL website. You must be registered with your local Council to use your local CBL website.

A very small number of our homes considered as temporary social housing, community landlords properties, Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO’s) or where we receive unsuitable nominations are rented directly from Tamil Housing’s own waiting list.

Due to the large demand, as a very small housing provider and a very small number of vacant homes becoming vacant, we are only ever able to house a small number of applicants. We welcome applicants to apply directly with Tamil Housing, however, please be aware that we will remove from our housing register if we fail to offer you a home within 2 years from the date of your application.
